DFS Equities was established by the Managing Director, Jim Purnell, in January 2000 under the business name DataTech Financial Services Pty Limited (ABN: 31 091 233 439), to provide quality service, information and share dealing expertise for online share investors.

DFS Equities has an Australian Financial Services Licence and has formed an alliance with two ASX Particpating Organisations. Both groups execute and settle all our transactions. This allows us to offer clients all the benefits of discount online stockbroking as well as advisory stockbroking services. You can trade your shares directly with an online broker (at their standard brokerage rates) or instruct our advisors to place and monitor orders on your behalf. Our advisors can help to develop a tailored investment solution that suits your individual requirements by working closely with you. All these transactions are processed through your DFS Equities share account.

Our advisors are supported by two independent analysts who provide in depth technical research across a range of areas and write for our In Focus publication. Research is also sourced from other independent groups such as Huntley’s Aspect and Aegis.
